Why “miner-validator” fits (Bitcoin meaning)
In Bitcoin, “validation” is primarily performed by full nodes applying consensus rules; miners produce blocks, but their blocks are only accepted if validators (nodes) consider them valid. Within that frame, @rot13maxi is best characterized as an engineer/operator on the validation-side of the stack (protocol/tools/infrastructure), rather than a publicly identified industrial miner.
A concrete example of his technical role on the validation/protocol side is that Andrew Poelstra’s OP_CAT covenant slide deck (March 12, 2024) points to an “Implementation by rot13maxi” (the purrfect_vault repo under Taproot Wizards), i.e., code enabling/illustrating Script-level verification constructions.
